Application Process

Online Application

Complete the form, upload your documents, and submit a 2–3 minute motivation video.

Phone Interview

Shortlisted applicants will receive an SMS invitation for a phone interview.

In-Person Interview

Selected applicants will be invited to campus for a face-to-face interview with the Groundbreaker team.

Final Decision

All applicants will be notified of their application result via SMS or email.

Onboarding

Successful applicants will receive onboarding details and preparation guidance before the program starts.

The certificate program is 12 months, full-time and residential at our campus in Bukerere, Uganda.

No. A personal laptop is provided as part of the scholarship.

Yes — no tech experience is required. We start from zero. Curiosity and drive are what we look for.

Yes. Our program is open to Ugandan residents including refugees residing in Uganda.

Yes. Groundbreaker Talents is a non-profit organisation, and the program is funded through partners and supporters who invest in access to tech education for young African women.

The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, meals, technical equipment, mentorship, and career support throughout the program.

Accepted Talents are only asked to contribute a small commitment fee before joining the program. This helps confirm participation and commitment to the full-time residential training experience.

We provide job placement and ongoing career support. 98% of graduates are employed within 3 months. We also have an active alumni community.
