The Groundbreaker Talents Mentorship Program connects global tech professionals with young African women participating in our full-time, residential tech training program in Uganda. Our talents undertake a one-year program in Software and AI Engineering or pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in AI.
The mentorship is fully remote–giving students practical skills, industry exposure, and personal guidance, while mentors sharpen their leadership and connect with emerging tech talent.
For companies, it’s a chance to foster diversity, support social equity, and strengthen ESG goals—while accessing a pipeline of future tech leaders.

Around one hour per week for 8 months. Sessions are fully remote and scheduled flexibly with your mentee.
Professionals with experience in tech or related fields who are willing to share their knowledge and support emerging talent. Previous mentoring experience is not required.
You’ll support your mentee with career development, technical discussions, problem-solving, communication, interviews, and navigating the tech industry. You are not expected to teach.
You’ll be matched with a Groundbreaker Talent in Uganda who is preparing for a career in tech through our full-time training program on campus.
We match pairs based on their interests, goals, and professional backgrounds.
We provide onboarding, guidance, and regular check-ins. Our mentorship team is also available if questions or challenges arise. Upon completion, mentors receive a certificate of participation.
Yes. Companies can involve employees as mentors and integrate the program into employee engagement or social-impact initiatives.
