“Learning by doing turned fear into curiosity.”

Before this opportunity, I wasn’t sure what the future held. Finances had put university out of reach, and for a while my goals felt distant. I’d always been curious about technology, but from the outside it seemed too complex and hard to access. When I received the Groundbreaker scholarship, it felt like a fresh start—a real chance to learn and prove to myself that I could do this.

Over the year, I gained more than technical skills. I learned JavaScript and TypeScript, built real applications, and worked on team projects that pushed me to think clearly, debug patiently, and communicate well. With mentorship and steady practice, my confidence grew. I began to meet challenges with curiosity instead of fear, and that shift changed how I see my work and what’s possible for me.

Today, I’m a Software Engineer, building products, learning every day, and following a path I once thought was closed to me. What matters most is the belief this experience restored: with the right chance and the right support, potential can flourish. I’m grateful to Groundbreaker Talents for opening that door and I’m determined to make the most of it.
