Groundbreaker Talents Graduation – Cohort 5

33 New Software & AI Engineers Graduate from Groundbreaker Talents

We just celebrated the graduation of 33 new Software & AI Engineers, marking another milestone in creating career opportunities for young women in Uganda.

Our campus was filled with proud, happy faces as we celebrated the graduation of Cohort 5, a group of 33 talented young women who successfully completed twelve months of intensive, full-time training in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.

Over the past year, the Talents developed technical skills, completed real-world projects, collaborated with mentors, and prepared for careers in the technology sector. Graduation marks the beginning of their next chapter as they transition from campus to employment and further education.

A Milestone for the Turing College Partnership

This graduation also marked an important milestone for Groundbreaker Talents. Fifteen Talents became the first graduates of our partnership with Turing College, successfully completing the pilot and earning their Software & AI Engineering Certificate.

The partnership combines Groundbreaker’s residential campus model with Turing College’s project-based curriculum, expanding access to internationally recognized software and AI education for young women in Uganda.

More Than Technical Skills

Behind every graduation is a year of intensive learning, personal growth, and building lasting friendships. Beyond developing technical expertise, the Talents strengthened their confidence, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration skills—preparing them for successful careers in Uganda’s technology industry and beyond.
